Since you found our website, we'd like to help you get to know us before you make your first visit. We've created a virtual question and answer session below:
What is your church like?
Our church is pretty informal and feels like a family gathering. When you walk in the front door, you'll likely see some folks chatting and exchanging stories from their week. Feel free to walk up to these people if they don't greet you right away and introduce yourself. They'll likely greet you and direct you toward the sanctuary where we'll be singing or preparing to sing.
The music is contemporary and upbeat. We will have a brief "welcome" moment during the announcements before the preaching starts, although it looks a bit different during the age of COVID. From there, you'll find that our pastor is very engaging and interesting, and you will learn something you did not know from the Word of God. Pastor Mike will intersperse some personal stories and real-life applications to go along with the scripture he shares.
What about my kids?
Most weeks, we'll have Children's Church for your kiddos from age three to fifth grade. They will be dismissed from the stage, and there will be an adult to escort them back to the kids area. There, they will hear a message delivered in an understandable way for their age.
If you have babies through age two, we have a nursery with toys, games, and an adult or two to supervise their play. There may even be a movie playing in that area. Feel free to take them directly back down the hallway to the right when you walk in the front door, and someone will point you in the right direction.
Where do I park?
We have both pavement and gravel available for parking immediately around the church building, with the most spaces available in the gravel parking lot to the north of the building. If you need assistance or are in a wheelchair of any kind, we have a few wheelchair accessible spaces just outside the front door.
What do I wear?
Whatever you want to wear! Pants, shorts, sandals, t-shirts, etc. can be found in our congregation each and every week. Given that we have many children present, we do ask that you dress with that in mind.
How can I get connected?
Send an email to info@harvesthill.org, pastormike@harvesthill.org, or fill out the contact us form on the website. You can try our landline if you would like, but particularly in the age of COVID, it will likely go to voicemail: 417-736-3700.
